I have not had any real opportunity to go out with my cameras so far this year. I am looking forward to the weather eventually settling - I am always optimistic that the weather forecasters will one day have some accuracy in their predictions.
Working in Bosham, I am very fortunate to have a small photographic gallery - Bosham Gallery - about 200 metres away. https://boshamgallery.com/
The curator is Luke Whittaker, a keen photographer in his own right. Luke holds 1-to-1 workshops for the beginner, the intermediate and the advanced photographer. https://boshamgallery.com/events/categories/1/
Over the last couple of years he has held exhibitions showing the work of well known photographers.
Steve Bloom, the wild life photographer exhibited a number of his beautiful photographs;

Ben Wood, who showed a selection of his classic sailing images;

Charlie Waite, who has held two exhibitions of his superb landscapes;

Charlie Waite has also held a couple of workshops in Bosham for the photographer who is looking to turn professional and exhibit their work. https://www.lightandland.co.uk/photography-tour-tutors/view/charlie-waite
Viewing these exhibitions makes me realise how much I have to learn about the art of photography. Listening to Charlie Waite, he says that it is a wonderful experience being able to pull out negatives from a drawer or digital files from a hard drive and give them a place on a wall where they can be enjoyed.
I estimate that I have about 20,000 negatives in files. Many are family snaps. I dread to think of the cost over the years but I have enjoyed taking the photos and I enjoy looking at the contact prints because they are my life history and bring back many fond memories.
